Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 11/Verse 9

सञ्जय उवाच

एवमुक्त्वा ततो राजन्महायोगेश्वरो हरिः ।

दर्शयामास पार्थाय परमं रूपमैश्वरम् ॥११- ९॥


sañjaya uvāca
evamuktvā tato rājanmahāyogeśvaro hariḥ ।
darśayāmāsa pārthāya paramaṃ rūpamaiśvaram ॥11- 9॥

Sanjaya said, O King, thus having spoken, Hari, the great lord of yoga, then revealed the supreme, majestic form to the Son of Pritha.  


sañjayas (masculine, nominative, singular) = Sanjaya 

uvāca (past tense, 2nd person, singular) = one said

evam (adverb) (indeclinable) = thus 

uktvā (gerund) (indeclinable) = having spoken

tatas (adverb) (indeclinable) = then 

rājan (masculine, vocative, singular) = O King (Dhrtarastra) 

mahāyogeśvaras (masculine, nominative, singular) = the great lord of yoga  

haris (masculine, nominative, singular) = Hari (epithet of Krishna) 

darśayām āsa (periphrastic perfect) = one revealed 

pārthāya (masculine, dative, singular) = to the Son of Pritha (Arjuna)

paramam (neuter, accusative, singular) = supreme 

rūpam (neuter, accusative, singular) = form 

aiśvaram (neuter, accusative, singular) = majestic
