Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 11/Verse 12

दिवि सूर्यसहस्रस्य भवेद्युगपदुत्थिता ।

यदि भाः सदृशी सा स्याद्भासस्तस्य महात्मनः ॥११- १२॥


divi sūryasahasrasya bhavedyugapadutthitā ।

yadi bhāḥ sadṛśī sā syādbhāsastasya mahātmanaḥ ॥11- 12॥

All at once if risen brightness of a thousand suns in the sky should be, it should be like the brilliance of the great self. 


divi (masculine, locative, singular) = in the sky


sūryasahasrasya (sūrya + sahasrasya) (masculine, genitive, singular) = of a thousand suns 


bhavet (optative, 3rd person, singular) = it should be 


yugapad (adverb) (indeclinable) = all at once 


utthitā (past passive participle, feminine, nominative, singular) = risen 


yadi (adverb) (indeclinable) = if 

bhās (feminine, nominative, singular) = brightness 


sadṛśī (feminine, nominative, singular) = like


sā (feminine, nominative, singular) = it


syāt (optative, 3rd person, singular) = it should be 


bhāsas (feminine, genitive, singular) = of brilliance 


tasya (masculine, genitive, singular) = of it  

mahātmanas (masculine, genitive, singular) = of the great self
