Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 11/Verse 42

यच्चावहासार्थमसत्कृतोऽसि
विहारशय्यासनभोजनेषु ।
एकोऽथवाप्यच्युत तत्समक्षं
तत्क्षामये त्वामहमप्रमेयम् ॥११- ४२॥

yaccāvahāsārthamasatkṛto'si
vihāraśayyāsanabhojaneṣu ।
eko'thavāpyacyuta tatsamakṣaṃ
tatkṣāmaye tvāmahamaprameyam ॥11- 42॥

And which the manner of joking, you were treated badly in dining seats and bed play, even alone or that being visible, O Unshaken One. For that, I ask your pardon, the Immeasurable One. 


yad (pronoun, 3rd person, neuter, nominative, singular) = which 

ca (conjunction) (indeclinable) = and

avahāsārtham (avahāsa + artham) (neuter, nominative, singular) = the manner of joking 

asatkṛtas (asat + kṛtas) (past passive participle, masculine, nominative, singular) = treated badly

asi (present tense, 2nd person, singular) = you are  

vihāraśayyāsanabhojaneṣu (vihāra + śayyā + āsana + bhojaneṣu) (neuter, locative, plural) = in dining seats and bed play 

ekas (masculine, nominative, singular) = alone (private)

athavā (adverb) (indeclinable) = or 

api (adverb) (indeclinable) = even 

acyuta (masculine, vocative, singular) = O Unshaken One (epithet of Krishna) 

tad (pronoun, 3rd person, neuter, nominative, singular) = that 

samakṣam (neuter, nominative, singular) = being visible (public)

tad (pronoun, 3rd person, neuter, nominative, singular) = that 

kṣāmaye (causative, 1st person, singular) = I ask pardon  

tvām (pronoun, 2nd person, accusative, singular) = you

aham (pronoun, 1st person, nominative, singular) = I

aprameyam (masculine, accusative, singular) = the Immeasurable One
