Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 11/Verse 36

अर्जुन उवाच

स्थाने हृषीकेश तव प्रकीर्त्या
जगत्प्रहृष्यत्यनुरज्यते च ।
रक्षांसि भीतानि दिशो द्रवन्ति
सर्वे नमस्यन्ति च सिद्धसंघाः ॥११- ३६॥

arjuna uvāca

sthāne hṛṣīkeśa tava prakīrtyā
jagatprahṛṣyatyanurajyate ca ।
rakṣāṃsi bhītāni diśo dravanti
sarve namasyanti ca siddhasaṃghāḥ ॥11- 36॥

Arjuna said, being in a state of celebration, the world rejoices and is gratified, Bristling Haired One. The terrified demons run in all directions and the throngs of the perfected ones will bow. 


arjunas (masculine, nominative, singular) = Arjuna

uvāca (past tense, 3rd person, singular) = he said

sthāne (neuter, locative, singular) = in a state of 

hṛṣīkeśa (masculine, vocative, singular) = Bristling Haired One (epithet of Krishna)

tava (pronoun, 2nd person, genitive, singular) = of you 

prakīrtyā (feminine, instrumental, singular) = of celebration

jagat (neuter, nominative, singular) = world 

prahṛṣyati (present tense, 3rd person, singular) = one rejoices 

anurajyate (present tense, 3rd person, singular) = one is gratified  

ca (conjunction) (indeclinable) = and

rakṣāṃsi (neuter, nominative, plural) = demons  

bhītāni (neuter, nominative, plural) = terrified  

diśas (feminine, accusative, plural) = directions 

dravanti (present tense, 3rd person, plural) = they run

sarve (nominative, accusative, plural) = all 

namasyanti (future tense, 3rd person, plural) = they will bow  

ca (conjunction) (indeclinable) = and

siddhasaṃghās (masculine, nominative, plural) = the throngs of perfected ones
