Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 11/Verse 43

पितासि लोकस्य चराचरस्य
त्वमस्य पूज्यश्च गुरुर्गरीयान् ।
न त्वत्समोऽस्त्यभ्यधिकः कुतोऽन्यो
लोकत्रयेऽप्यप्रतिमप्रभाव ॥११- ४३॥

pitāsi lokasya carācarasya
tvamasya pūjyaśca gururgarīyān ।
na tvatsamo'styabhyadhikaḥ kuto'nyo
lokatraye'pyapratimaprabhāva ॥11- 43॥

You are father of the moving and non-moving world; of it, you are to be honored and the more venerable guru. There is nothing equal to you. How is another greater, even in the three worlds, O Incomparable Being?


pitā (masculine, nominative, singular) = father

asi (present tense, 2nd person, singular) = you are 

lokasya (masculine, genitive, singular) = of the world

carācarasya (cara + acarasya) (neuter, genitive, singular) = of the moving and not moving 

tvam (pronoun, 2nd person, nominative,singular) = you

pūjyas (gerundive, masculine, nominative, singular) = to be honored

gurus (masculine, nominative, singular) = guru 

garīyān (comparative, masculine, nominative, singular) = more venerable

tvatsamas (masculine, nominative, singular) = equal to you  

asti (present tense, 3rd person, singular) = it is 

abhyadhikas (masculine, nominative, singular) = greater  

kutas (adverb) (indeclinable) = how

anyas (masculine, nominative, singular) = another

lokatraye (masculine, locative, singular) = in the three worlds

api (adverb) (indeclinable) = even 

apratimaprabhāva (masculine, vocative, singular) = O Incomparable Being
