Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 10/Verse 11

तेषामेवानुकम्पार्थमहमज्ञानजं तमः ।

नाशयाम्यात्मभावस्थो ज्ञानदीपेन भास्वता ॥१०- ११॥

teṣāmevānukampārthamahamajñānajaṃ tamaḥ ।

nāśayāmyātmabhāvastho jñānadīpena bhāsvatā ॥10- 11॥

Indeed, I have sympathy for them. Situated in the state of the self, I am the cause of the destruction of darkness, born of ignorance, by the shining lamp of knowledge.


teṣām (masculine, genitive, plural) = of them  

eva (adverb) (indeclinable) = indeed

anukampārtham (anukampā + artham) (masculine, accusative, singular) = have sympathy  

aham (pronoun, 1st person, nominative, singular) = I 

ajñānajam (ajñāna + jam) (neuter, accusative, singular) = born of ignorance 

tamas (neuter, accusative, singular) = darkness

nāśayāmi (present tense, causative, 1st person) = I am the cause of the destruction 

ātmabhāvasthas (ātma + bhāva + sthas) (masculine, nominative, singular) = situated in the state of the self
  
jñānadīpena (jñāna + dīpena) (masculine, instrumental, singular) = by the lamp of knowledge 

bhāsvatā (masculine, instrumental, singular) = shining
