Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 11/Verse 29

यथा प्रदीप्तं ज्वलनं पतङ्गा
विशन्ति नाशाय समृद्धवेगाः ।
तथैव नाशाय विशन्ति लोका-
 स्तवापि वक्त्राणि समृद्धवेगाः ॥११- २९॥

yathā pradīptaṃ jvalanaṃ pataṅgā
viśanti nāśāya samṛddhavegāḥ ।
tathaiva nāśāya viśanti lokā-
stavāpi vaktrāṇi samṛddhavegāḥ ॥11- 29॥

As moths increasing in speed enter a flame blazing forth into destruction, indeed, so, also, worlds increasing in speed enter the mouths of you into destruction. 


yathā (adverb) (indeclinable) = as

pradīptam (past passive participle, neuter, accusative, singular) = blazing forth 

jvalanam (neuter, accusative, singular) = flame

pataṅgās (masculine, nominative, plural) = moths 

viśanti (present tense, 3rd person, plural) = they enter

nāśāya (masculine, dative, singular) = to destruction

samṛddhavegās (masculine, nominative, plural) = increasing in speed

tatha (adverb) (indeclinable) = so

eva (adverb) (indeclinable) = indeed

nāśāya (masculine, dative, singular) = to destruction

viśanti (present tense, 3rd person, plural) = they enter

lokās (masculine, nominative, plural) = worlds

tava (pronoun, 2nd person, genitive, singular) = of you

api (adverb) (indecliable) = also

vaktrāṇi (neuter, accusative, plural) = mouths

samṛddhavegās (masculine, nominative, plural) = increasing in speed
