Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 14/Verse 25

मानापमानयोस्तुल्यस्तुल्यो मित्रारिपक्षयोः ।

सर्वारम्भपरित्यागी गुणातीतः स उच्यते ॥१४- २५॥

mānāpamānayostulyastulyo mitrāripakṣayoḥ ।


sarvārambhaparityāgī guṇātītaḥ sa ucyate ॥14- 25॥

Equal in honor and dishonor, equal towards the factions of enemies and friends, renouncing all undertakings, that one is said to transcend the gunas.


mānāpamānayos (mānāpamānayos) (masculine, locative, dual) = in honor and dishonor 

tulyas (masculine, nominative, singular) = equal 

tulyas (masculine, nominative, singular) = equal 

mitrāripakṣayos (mitra + ari + pakṣayos) (masculine, locative, singular) = towards the factions of enemies and friends



sarvārambhaparityāgī (sarva + ārambha + parityāgī) (masculine, nominative, singular) = renouncing all undertakings  

guṇātītas (guṇa + atītas) (past passive participle, masculine, nominative, singular) = transcending the gunas 

sas (pronoun, 3rd person, masculine, nominative, singular) = that one 

ucyate (present tense, passive, 3rd person, singular) = one said
