Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 12/Verse 17

यो न हृष्यति न द्वेष्टि न शोचति न काङ्क्षति ।


शुभाशुभपरित्यागी भक्तिमान्यः स मे प्रियः ॥१२- १७॥

yo na hṛṣyati na dveṣṭi na śocati na kāṅkṣati ।
śubhāśubhaparityāgī bhaktimānyaḥ sa me priyaḥ ॥12- 17॥

One who does not rejoice, nor hates, nor mourns, nor desires, who is full of devotion abandoning the agreeable and disagreeable, that one is my beloved. 


yas (pronoun, 3rd person, masculine, nominative, singular) = who

na (adverb) (indeclinable) = not 

hṛṣyati (present tense, 3rd person, singular) = one rejoices 

na (adverb) (indeclinable) = not 

dveṣṭi (present tense, 3rd person, singular) = one hates 

na (adverb) (indeclinable) = not 

śocati (present tense, 3rd person, singular) = one mourns

kāṅkṣati (present tense, 3rd person, singular) = one desires 


śubhāśubhaparityāgī (śubha + aśubha + parityāgī) (masculine, nominative, singular) = abandoning the agreeable and disagreeable  
bhaktimān (masculine, nominative, singular) = full of devotion 

yas (pronoun, 3rd person, masculine, nominative, singular) = who

sas (pronoun, 3rd person, masculine, nominative, singular) = that one

me (pronoun, 1st person, genitive, singular) = of me 

priyas (masculine, nominative, singular) = beloved
