Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 14/Verse 13

अप्रकाशोऽप्रवृत्तिश्च प्रमादो मोह एव च ।

तमस्येतानि जायन्ते विवृद्धे कुरुनन्दन ॥१४- १३॥


aprakāśo'pravṛttiśca pramādo moha eva ca ।


tamasyetāni jāyante vivṛddhe kurunandana ॥14- 13॥


Absence of illumination and lack of exertion, neglect, and indeed, delusion; when tamas is dominant, these arise, Descendant of Kuru. 



aprakāśas (masculine, nominative, singular) = absence of illumination 


apravṛttis (feminine, nominative, singular) = lack of exertion 


ca (conjunction) (indeclinable) = and


pramādas (masculine, nominative, singular) = neglect 


mohas (masculine, nominative, singular) = delusion 


eva (adverb) (indeclinable) = indeed


ca (conjunction) (indeclinable) = and


tamasi (neuter, locative, singular) = when tamas

etāni (neuter, nominative, plural) = these 


jāyante (present tense, 3rd person, plural) = they arise


vivṛddhe (neuter, locative, singular) = when dominant  


kurunandana (masculine, vocative, singular) = Descendant of Kuru (epithet of Arjuna)
