Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 14/Verse 14

यदा सत्त्वे प्रवृद्धे तु प्रलयं याति देहभृत् ।


तदोत्तमविदां लोकानमलान्प्रतिपद्यते ॥१४- १४॥

yadā sattve pravṛddhe tu pralayaṃ yāti dehabhṛt ।
tadottamavidāṃ lokānamalānpratipadyate ॥14- 14॥

But when sattva is dominant, the embodied one goes to dissolution. Then one attains the stainless worlds of those who know the highest. 


yadā (adverb) (indeclinable) = when 

sattve (neuter, locative, singular) = when sattva 

pravṛddhe (neuter, locative, singular) = when dominant 

tu (conjunction) (indeclinable) = but 

pralayam (masculine, accusative, singular) = dissolution 

yāti (present tense, 3rd person, singular) = one goes 

dehabhṛt (masculine, nominative, singular) = the embodied one 


tadā (adverb) (indeclinable) = then 

uttamavidām (masculine, genitive, plural) = of those who know the highest 

lokān (masculine, accusative, plural) = worlds 

amalān (masculine, accusative, plural) = stainless 

pratipadyate (present tense, 3rd person, singular) = one attains
