Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 13/Verse 33

यथा प्रकाशयत्येकः कृत्स्नं लोकमिमं रविः ।

क्षेत्रं क्षेत्री तथा कृत्स्नं प्रकाशयति भारत ॥१३- ३३॥

yathā prakāśayatyekaḥ kṛtsnaṃ lokamimaṃ raviḥ ।
kṣetraṃ kṣetrī tathā kṛtsnaṃ prakāśayati bhārata ॥13- 33॥

As the one sun causes illumination of this entire world, just so the lord of the field causes the illumination of the entire field, Descendant of Bharata. 


yathā (adverb) (indeclinable) = as 


prakāśayati (present tense, 3rd person, singular) = it causes illumination 

ekas (cardinal number, masculine, nominative, singular) = one  

kṛtsnam (neuter, accusative, singular) = entire  

lokam (masculine, accusative, singular) = world 

imam (pronoun, 3rd person, masculine, accusative, singular) = this 

ravis (masculine, nominative, singular) = sun 


kṣetram (neuter, accusative, singular) = field 

kṣetrī (masculine, nominative, singular) = lord of the field  

tathā (adverb) (indeclinable) = just so 

kṛtsnam (neuter, accusative, singular) = entire  

prakāśayati (present tense, 3rd person, singular) = it causes illumination 

bhārata (masculine, vocative, singular) = Descendant of Bharata
