Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 16/Verse 16

अनेकचित्तविभ्रान्ता मोहजालसमावृताः ।

प्रसक्ताः कामभोगेषु पतन्ति नरकेऽशुचौ ॥१६- १६॥

anekacittavibhrāntā mohajālasamāvṛtāḥ ।


prasaktāḥ kāmabhogeṣu patanti narake'śucau ॥16- 16॥

led astray by many thoughts, enveloped in a net of delusion, attached in the enjoyments of desires, they fall into an impure place of torment. 


anekacittavibhrāntās (aneka + citta + vibhrāntās) (past passive participle, masculine, nominative, plural) = led astray by many thoughts 

mohajālasamāvṛtās (mohajāla + samāvṛtās) (past passive participle, masculine, nominative, plural) = enveloped in a net of delusion 

prasaktās (past passive participle, masculine, nominative, plural) = attached 

kāmabhogeṣu (kāma + bhogeṣu) (masculine, locative, plural) = in the enjoyments of desires 

patanti (present tense, 3rd person, singular) = they fall 

narake (masculine, locative, singular) = in a place of torment 

aśucau (masculine, locative, singular) = in impure
