Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 18/Verse 54

ब्रह्मभूतः प्रसन्नात्मा न शोचति न काङ्क्षति ।

समः सर्वेषु भूतेषु मद्भक्तिं लभते पराम् ॥१८- ५४॥

brahmabhūtaḥ prasannātmā na śocati na kāṅkṣati ।


samaḥ sarveṣu bhūteṣu madbhaktiṃ labhate parām ॥18- 54॥

The tranquil self being with Brahman does not grieve, does not desire, is impartial among all beings, one attains supreme devotion to me. 


brahmabhūtas (brahma + bhūtas) (masculine, nominative, singular) = being with Brahman 

prasannātmā (prasanna + ātmā) (masculine, nominative, singular) = the tranquil self   

na (adverb) (indeclinable) = not

śocati (present tense, 3rd person, singular) = one grieves 

na (adverb) (indeclinable) = not

kāṅkṣati (present tense, 3rd person, singular) = one desires

samas (masculine, nominative, singular) = impartial 

sarveṣu (masculine/neuter, locative, plural) = among all 

bhūteṣu (masculine/neuter, locative, plural) = among beings  

madbhaktim (feminine, accusative, singular) = devotion to me  

labhate (present tense, 3rd person, singular) = one attains 

parām (feminine, accusative, singular) = supreme
