Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 18/Verse 17

यस्य नाहंकृतो भावो बुद्धिर्यस्य न लिप्यते ।

हत्वापि स इमाँल्लोकान्न हन्ति न निबध्यते ॥१८- १७॥

yasya nāhaṃkṛto bhāvo buddhiryasya na lipyate ।


hatvāpi sa imām̐llokānna hanti na nibadhyate ॥18- 17॥

One not having a condition of egoism nor having an understanding that is defiled. Even if that one is slaying these worlds, one does not slay nor is bound.  


yasya (pronoun, 3rd peson, masculine, genitive, singular) = of whom 

na (adverb) (indeclinable) = not 

ahaṃkṛtas (masculine, nominative, singular) = egoistic 

bhāvas (masculine, nominative, singular) = state  

buddhis (feminine, nominative, singular) = understanding 

yasya (pronoun, 3rd peson, masculine, genitive, singular) = of whom 

na (adverb) (indeclinable) = not 

lipyate (present tense, 3rd person, singular) = one is defiled

hatvā (gerund) (indeclinable) = having slain 

api (adverb) (indeclinable) = even 

sas (pronoun, 3rd person, masculine, nominative, singular) = that one

imān (masculine, accusative, plural) = these 

lokān (masculine, accusative, plural) = worlds 

na (adverb) (indeclinable) = not 

hanti (present tense, 3rd person, singular) = one slays

na (adverb) (indeclinable) = not 

nibadhyate (present tense, passive, 3rd person, singular) = one is bound
