Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 18/Verse 32

अधर्मं धर्ममिति या मन्यते तमसावृता ।

सर्वार्थान्विपरीतांश्च बुद्धिः सा पार्थ तामसी ॥१८- ३२॥


adharmaṃ dharmamiti yā manyate tamasāvṛtā ।


sarvārthānviparītāṃśca buddhiḥ sā pārtha tāmasī ॥18- 32॥


The understanding which is enveloped by tamas thinks, wrong is right, and all things are perverted, that is tamasic, Son of Pritha. 



adharmam (masculine, accusative, singular) = wrong 


dharmam (masculine, accusative, singular) = right 


iti (punctuation) (indeclinable) = (close quotes)


yā (pronoun, 3rd person, feminine, nominative, singular) = which 


manyate (present tense, 3rd person, singular) = it thinks


tamasā (neuter, instrumental, singular) = by tamas 


āvṛtā (past passive participle, feminine, nominative, singular) = enveloped 



sarvārthān (masculine, accusative, plural) = all things 

viparītān (past passive participle, neuter, accusative, plural) = perverted 


ca (conjunction) (indeclinable) = and


buddhis (feminine, nominative, singular) = understanding 


sā (pronoun, 3rd person, feminine, nominative, singular) = that 


pārtha (masculine, vocative, singular) = Son of Pritha 


tāmasī (feminine, nominative, singular) = tamasic
