Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 18/Verse 15

शरीरवाङ्‌मनोभिर्यत्कर्म प्रारभते नरः ।

न्याय्यं वा विपरीतं वा पञ्चैते तस्य हेतवः ॥१८- १५॥

śarīravāṅ‌manobhiryatkarma prārabhate naraḥ ।


nyāyyaṃ vā viparītaṃ vā pañcaite tasya hetavaḥ ॥18- 15॥

By the body, speech, and mind a human commences whatever customary or contrary action. Of that [action] are these five causes. 


śarīravāṅ‌manobhis (śarīra + vāc + manobhis) (neuter, instrumental, singular) = by the body, speech, and mind 

yad (pronoun, 3rd person, neuter, accusative, singular) = which 

karma (neuter, accusative, singular) = action

prārabhate (present tense, 3rd person, singular) = one commences 

naras (masculine, nominative, singular) = a human being 

nyāyyaṃ (neuter, accusative, singular) = customary 

vā (adverb) (indeclinable) = or 

viparītam (past passive participle, neuter, accusative, singular) = contrary  

vā (adverb) (indeclinable) = or 

pañcaite (pañca + ete) (masculine, nominative, plural) = of these five 

tasya (pronoun, 3rd person, neuter, genitive, singular) = of that

hetavas (masculine, nominative, plural) = causes
