Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 7/Verse 17

तेषां ज्ञानी नित्ययुक्त एकभक्तिर्विशिष्यते ।

प्रियो हि ज्ञानिनोऽत्यर्थमहं स च मम प्रियः ॥७- १७॥


teṣāṃ jñānī nityayukta ekabhaktirviśiṣyate ।

priyo hi jñānino'tyarthamahaṃ sa ca mama priyaḥ ॥7- 17॥

Of them, the knowledgeable person eternally yoked, devoted to one is distinguished.  Indeed, of the knowledgeable person, I am exceedingly fond and that one [the knowledgeable person] is fond of me. 



teṣām (pronoun, 3rd person, masculine, genitive, plural) = of them  


jñānī (masculine, nominative, singular) = knowledgeable person


nityayuktas (nitya + yuktas) (masculine, nominative, singular) = eternally yoked 


ekabhaktis (feminine, nominative, singular) = devoted to one 


viśiṣyate (present tense, 3rd person, singular) = is distinguished  


priyas (masculine, nominative, singular) = fond  

hi (adverb) (indeclinable) = indeed 


jñāninas (masculine, genitive, singular) = of the knowledgeable person 


atyartham (accusative used adverbially) (masculine, accusative, singular) = exceedingly 


aham (pronoun, 1st person, nominative, singular) = I  


sas (pronoun, 3rd person, masculine, nominative, singular) = one 


ca (adverb) (indeclinable) = and 


mama (pronoun, 1st person, genitive, singular) = of me 


priyas (masculine, nominative, singular) = fond
