Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 8/Verse 5

अन्तकाले च मामेव स्मरन्मुक्त्वा कलेवरम् ।

यः प्रयाति स मद्भावं याति नास्त्यत्र संशयः ॥८- ५॥

antakāle ca māmeva smaranmuktvā kalevaram ।

yaḥ prayāti sa madbhāvaṃ yāti nāstyatra saṃśayaḥ ॥8- 5॥

Indeed, remembering me at the time of death, having relinquished the body, one who departs the body, goes to my state of being, in this matter there is no doubt. 


antakāle (masculine, locative, singular) = at the time of death 

ca (conjunction) (indeclinable) = and 

mām (pronoun, 1st person, accusative, singular) = me 

eva (adverb) (indeclinable) = indeed

smaran (present participle, masculine, nominative, singular) = remembering 

muktvā (gerund) (indeclinable) = having relinquished  

kalevaram (masculine, accusative, singular) = the body 

yas (pronoun, 3rd person, masculine, nominative, singular) = one who  

prayāti (present tense, 3rd person, singular) = on departs  

sas  (pronoun, 3rd person, masculine, nominative, singular) = one 

madbhāvaṃ (masculine, accusative, singular) = my state of being  

yāti (present tense, 3rd person, singular) = one goes  

na (adverb) (indeclinable) = not 

asti (present tense, 3rd person, singular) = it is 

atra (adverb) (indeclinable) = in this matter

saṃśayas (masculine, nominative, singular) = doubt
