Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 6/Verse 20

यत्रोपरमते चित्तं निरुद्धं योगसेवया ।

यत्र चैवात्मनात्मानं पश्यन्नात्मनि तुष्यति ॥६- २०॥

yatroparamate cittaṃ niruddhaṃ yogasevayā ।

yatra caivātmanātmānaṃ paśyannātmani tuṣyati ॥6- 20॥

Where thought ceases restrained by the performance of yoga, and indeed, where one is satisfied in the self seeing the self by the self. 


yatra (adverb) (indeclinable) = where

uparamate (present tense, 3rd person, singular) = it ceases  

cittam (neuter, nominative, singular) = thought

niruddham (past passive participle, neuter, nominative, singular) = restrained 

yogasevayā (yoga + sevayā) (feminine, instrumental, singular) = by the performance of yoga


yatra (adverb) (indeclinable) = where

ca (conjunction) (indeclinable) = and 

eva (adverb) (indeclinable) = indeed 

ātmanā (masculine, instrumental, singular) = by the self 

ātmānam (masculine, accusative, singular) = the self 

paśyan (present participle, masculine, nominative, singular) = seeing 

ātmani (masculine, locative, singular) = in the self 

tuṣyati (present tense, 3rd person, singular) = one is satisfied
