Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 6/Verse 10

योगी युञ्जीत सततमात्मानं रहसि स्थितः ।

एकाकी यतचित्तात्मा निराशीरपरिग्रहः ॥६- १०॥

yogī yuñjīta satatamātmānaṃ rahasi sthitaḥ ।

ekākī yatacittātmā nirāśīraparigrahaḥ ॥6- 10॥

The yogin should be constantly yoked to the self in solitude, one standing alone, the mind and self controlled, one not consuming, [and] without possessions or a wife. 


yogī (masculine, nominative, singular) = yogin

yuñjīta (optative, 3rd person, singular) = one should be yoked 

satatam (adverb) (indeclinable) = constantly

ātmānam (masculine, accusative, singular) = the self 

rahasi (neuter, locative, singular) = in solitude 

sthitas (past passive participle, masculine, nominative, singular) = standing



ekākī (masculine, nominative, singular) = alone

yatacittātmā (masculine, nominative, singular) = the self and mind controlled 

nirāśīs (masculine, nominative, singular) = one not consuming

aparigrahas (masculine, nominative, singular) = without possessions or a wife
