Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 5/Verse 20

न प्रहृष्येत्प्रियं प्राप्य नोद्विजेत्प्राप्य चाप्रियम् ।


स्थिरबुद्धिरसंमूढो ब्रह्मविद्ब्रह्मणि स्थितः ॥५- २०॥

na prahṛṣyetpriyaṃ prāpya nodvijetprāpya cāpriyam ।
sthirabuddhirasaṃmūḍho brahmavidbrahmaṇi sthitaḥ ॥5- 20॥

Having attained the cherished, one should not rejoice and having attained the non-cherished, one should not grieve. A non-deluded, knower of Brahman, rock of wisdom is established in Brahman.

prahṛṣyet (optative, 3rd person, singular) = one should be rejoice

priyam (masculine, accusative, singular) = the cherished 

prāpya (gerund) (indeclinable) = having attained  

na (adverb) (indeclinable) = not

udvijet (optative, 3rd person, singular) = one should grieve

prāpya (gerund) (indeclinable) = having attained  

ca (conjunction) (indeclinable) = and 

apriyam (masculine, accusative, singular) = non-cherished 


sthirabuddhis (sthira + buddhis) (compound) (adjective, masculine, nominative, singular) = rock of wisdom

asaṃmūḍhas (past passive participle, masculine, nominative, singular) = non-deluded 

brahmavid (masculine, nominative, singular) = a knower of Brahman 

brahmaṇi (neuter, locative, singular) = in Brahman 

sthitas (past passive participle, masculine, nominative, singular) = established
