Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 5/Verse 14

न कर्तृत्वं न कर्माणि लोकस्य सृजति प्रभुः ।

न कर्मफलसंयोगं स्वभावस्तु प्रवर्तते ॥५- १४॥


na kartṛtvaṃ na karmāṇi lokasya sṛjati prabhuḥ

na karmaphalasaṃyogaṃ svabhāvastu pravartate ॥5- 14॥

A master does not create the state of being the performer nor the actions of the world nor the union of the fruit with the action, nevertheless one's manner of being engages [the world]. 



na (adverb) (indeclinable) = not


kartṛtvaṃ (neuter, accusative, singular) = state of being the performer 


na (adverb) (indeclinable) = not


karmāṇi (neuter, accusative, plural) = actions


lokasya (masculine, genitive, singular) = of the world


sṛjati (present tense, 3rd person, singular) = one creates


prabhus (masculine, nominative, singular) = a master 


na (adverb) (indeclinable) = not


karmaphalasaṃyogam (karma + phala + saṃyogam) (compound) (masculine, accusative, singular) = the union of the fruit with the action


svabhāvas (masculine, nominative, singular) = one's manner of being 


tu (conjunction) (indeclinable) = nevertheless 


pravartate (persent tense, 3rd person, singular) = one engages
