Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 4/Verse 37

यथैधांसि समिद्धोऽग्निर्भस्मसात्कुरुतेऽर्जुन ।
ज्ञानाग्निः सर्वकर्माणि भस्मसात्कुरुते तथा ॥४-३७॥

yathaidhāṃsi samiddho'gnirbhasmasātkurute'rjuna ।

jñānāgniḥ sarvakarmāṇi bhasmasātkurute tathā ॥4-37॥

Arjuna, just as lit fire reduces kindling to ashes, so the fire of knowledge reduces all actions to ashes.

samiddhas (past passive participle, masculine, nominative, singular) = lit


agnis (masculine, nominative, singular) = fire

arjuna (masculine, vocative, singular) = Arjuna


jñānāgnis (jñāna + agnis) (compound) (masculine, nominative, singular) = the fire of knowledge 


sarva (adverb) (indeclinable) = all


karmāṇi (neuter, accusative, plural) = actions


bhasmasāt (adverb) (indeclinable) = to ashes 


kurute (present indicative, 3rd person, singular) = it reduces 


tathā (adverb) (indeclinable) = so
