Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 5/Verse 12

युक्तः कर्मफलं त्यक्त्वा शान्तिमाप्नोति नैष्ठिकीम् ।

अयुक्तः कामकारेण फले सक्तो निबध्यते ॥५- १२॥

yuktaḥ karmaphalaṃ tyaktvā śāntimāpnoti naiṣṭhikīm ।


ayuktaḥ kāmakāreṇa phale sakto nibadhyate ॥5- 12॥


Yoked having abandoned the fruit of action, one attains supreme peace. Unyoked [and] attached one is bound in the fruit with following one's own inclinations. 



yuktas (past passive participle, masculine, nominative, singular) = yoked 


karmaphalam (karma + phalam) (compound) (neuter, accusative, singular) = fruit of action


tyaktvā (gerund) (indeclinable) = having abandoned 


śāntim (feminine, accusative, singular) = peace 


āpnoti (present tense, 3rd person, singular) = one attains 

naiṣṭhikīm (adjective, feminine, accusative, singular) = supreme 


ayuktas (past passive participle, masculine, nominative ,singular) = unyoked 

kāmakāreṇa (masculine, instrumental, singular) = with following one's own inclinations 


phale (neuter, locative, singular) = in the fruit 


saktas (past passive participle, masculine, nominative, singular) = attached  


nibadhyate (present tense, 3rd person, singular) = one is bound
