Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 5/Verse 7

योगयुक्तो विशुद्धात्मा विजितात्मा जितेन्द्रियः ।

सर्वभूतात्मभूतात्मा कुर्वन्नपि न लिप्यते ॥५- ७॥


yogayukto viśuddhātmā vijitātmā jitendriyaḥ ।

sarvabhūtātmabhūtātmā kurvannapi na lipyate ॥5- 7॥


Yoked to yoga, the self purified, the self controlled, the senses 
subdued, the self in being, the self in the being of all. Even doing, 
one is not defiled. 


yogayuktas (yoga + yuktas) (compound) (masculine, nominative, 

singular) = yoked to yoga

viśuddhātmā (viśuddha + ātmā) (compound) (masculine, 

nominative, singular) = the self is purified  

vijitātmā (vijita + ātmā) (compound) (masculine, nominative, 

singular) = the self controlled 

 jitendriyas (jita + indriyas) (compound) (masculine, nominative, 

singular) = the senses subdued


sarvabhūtātmabhūtātmā (sarva + bhūta + ātma + bhūta + ātmā) 

(compound) (masculine, nominative, singular) = the self in being, 

the self in the being of all

kurvan (present participle) = doing

api (adverb) (indeclinable) = even 

na (adverb) (indeclinable) = not

lipyate (present tense, 3rd person, singular) = one is defiled
