Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 7/Verses 3

मनुष्याणां सहस्रेषु कश्चिद्यतति सिद्धये ।

यततामपि सिद्धानां कश्चिन्मां वेत्ति तत्त्वतः ॥७- ३॥

manuṣyāṇāṃ sahasreṣu kaścidyatati siddhaye ।

yatatāmapi siddhānāṃ kaścinmāṃ vetti tattvataḥ ॥7- 3॥

In thousands of men, scarcely anyone strives to perfection, even of the striving and perfected, scarcely anyone truly knows me. 


manuṣyāṇām (masculine, genitive, plural) = of men 

sahasreṣu (masculine, locative, plural) = in thousands 

kaścid (adverb) (indeclinable) = (scarcely) anyone

yatati (present tense, 3rd person, singular) = one strives 

siddhaye (feminine, dative, singular) = to perfection

yatatām (present participle, genitive, plural) = of the striving 

api (adverb) (indeclinable) = even  

siddhānām (masculine, genitive, plural) = of the perfected  

kaścid (adverb) (indeclinable) = (scarcely) anyone

mām (pronoun, 1st person, accusative, singular) = me 

vetti (present tense, 3rd person, singular) = one knows  

tattvatas (adverb) (indeclinable) = truly
