Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 7/Verse 12

ये चैव सात्त्विका भावा राजसास्तामसाश्च ये ।

मत्त एवेति तान्विद्धि न त्वहं तेषु ते मयि ॥७- १२॥



ye caiva sāttvikā bhāvā rājasāstāmasāśca ye ।


matta eveti tānviddhi na tvahaṃ teṣu te mayi ॥7- 12॥


You must know them, indeed, which are sattvic, rajasic, and tamasic states of being, indeed, which are from me. They are in me, but I am not in them. 



ye (pronoun, 3rd person, masculine, nominative, plural) = which 


ca (conjunction) (indeclinable) = and


eva (adverb) (indeclinable) = indeed 


sāttvikās (masculine, nominative, plural) = sattvic  


bhāvās (masculine, nominative, plural) = states of being

ye (pronoun, 3rd person, masculine, nominative, plural) = which 


mattas (pronoun, 1st person, ablative, singular) = from me   


eva (adverb) (indeclinable) = indeed


iti (punctuation) (indeclinable) = (close quotes) 


tān (pronoun, 3rd person, masculine, accusative, plural) = them 


viddhi (imperative, 2nd person, singular) = you must know


na (adverb) (indeclinable) = not


tu (conjunction) (indeclinable) = but


aham (pronoun, 1st person, nominative, singular) = I


teṣu (pronoun, 3rd person, masculine, locative, plural) = in them 


te (pronoun, 3rd person, masculine, nominative, plural) = they  


mayi (pronoun, 1st person, masculine, locative, singular) = in me
