Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 1/Verse 41

Chapter 1/Verse 41

This verse gives deep insight into the culture at the original writing of the Bhagavad Gita that permeates to this day in modern India. Other cultures around the world hold similar values. This verse can easily get people riled up with protests of racism and social inequality while "armchair critiquing" a culture with a typical lack of historical and cultural knowledge. I feel the best way to understand this verse is to refer to perennial stories of cultures like Romeo and Juliet or West Side Story where social classes of people intermix. At the end of the day it is all about seeking rapport and harmony within a social structure.
