Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 18/Verse 74

सञ्जय उवाच

इत्यहं वासुदेवस्य पार्थस्य च महात्मनः ।


संवादमिममश्रौषमद्भुतं रोमहर्षणम् ॥१८- ७४॥


sañjaya uvāca


ityahaṃ vāsudevasya pārthasya ca mahātmanaḥ ।



saṃvādamimamaśrauṣamadbhutaṃ romaharṣaṇam ॥18- 74॥

Samjaya said, I have heard this marvelous dialogue, causing the hair to stand on end, of the son of Vasudeva and the son of Pritha, whose soul is great.



sañjayas (masculine, nominative, singular) = Samjaya  


uvāca (past tense, 3rd person, singular) = one said


iti (punctuation) (indeclinable) = (syntax marker) 


aham (pronoun, 1st person, nominative, singular) = I 


vāsudevasya (masculine, genitive, singular) = of the son of Vasudeva (Krishna)  


pārthasya (masculine, genitive, singular) = of the son of Pritha (Arjuna)
